Description
Intersection is a unique puzzle/action/maze game. Your goal is to direct cars around a track that you dynamically configure with a road mover. Numerous obstacles make your task more difficult, including multiple cars, motorcycles, trains, rivers, bridges, all-terrain vehicles, mud, and oil.
This is no mindless shooter game - Intersection requires equal amounts of patience, memorization, dexterity, cleverness, and visual imagination. Version 1.4 has update to DirectX 9, road movement changes, and bug fixes.
Review
If you download Intersection knowing it's a puzzle game, not a driving game, you won't be disappointed. Instead of controlling the cars, you control the track to coax cars through numbered checkpoints. You position an earth mover with the mouse, then push the road out of the way with missiles aimed via the arrow keys. The cars run out of gas, so you have to route them regularly through gas stations. The round ends when the car runs out of gas, a motorcycle crashes into it, or you move the road out from under it. You have to solve each puzzle to move onto the next one, but you get unlimited tries. The graphics are low-res but effective, and the music is surprisingly good. The settings let you control things such as the level of difficulty, music and sound-effect volume, and the number of distractions. The game classifies motorcycles as distractions to blow up. When you exit the game, you see one promotional screen hawking the paid version. Puzzle fans should enjoy Intersection.
