Description
DocPixie 1.1 is a powerful and convenient document-format-conversion tool. It supports conversion from Adobe Acrobat files (PDF) to Microsoft Word (DOC) or Web pages (HTML), without the need for Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. New features include integration into Windows Explorer and Internet Explorer, support for nine languages, and improved conversion effects. Main features include various fonts, a perfect-image effect, hyperlink redirection, powerful controls, and batch operations. The functionalities of the trial version are limited, allowing only the first five pages of a source file to be converted.
Review
The limits of this trial version of DocPixie make it difficult to determine its power, and we saw a mixed bag in terms of results. In some documents, images were rendered correctly, but formatting left much to be desired. The interface allows batch conversion, and you can convert Web pages to documents directly from Internet Explorer. The limit of five pages per document interfered with our tests of its performance. We imagine the program could be especially helpful for those who frequently use extracts from PDF documentation.
